Advantages Over PVC-Based Materials

  1. Straightforward transport and storage AirMesh folds down for convenient packing and handling. PVC materials typically need rolling around a core to avoid creasing, pinching or folding damage; the foldable polyester makes delivery, transport and setup on site simpler.
  2. Lightweight handling The fabric weighs 105gsm. A full-sized 3375mm × 1780mm Heras fencing banner weighs about 0.8kg, compared with approximately 1.9kg in PVC. This lighter weight makes positioning and installation easier, particularly on larger or extended projects, and can reduce handling time.
  3. Strength and durability The 100% polyester fabric has reinforced, industry-grade sewn hems to provide a robust finish despite its low weight. Good airflow helps it perform in windier conditions, reducing stress and wear on the graphic.
  4. An alternative to PVC The fully polyester construction offers a more environmentally considerate alternative to traditional PVC-based materials. It can support customers’ environmental policies and procurement requirements, opening up applications where PVC is unsuitable or restricted.
  5. Airflow in windy conditions Mesh PVC allows some airflow, but AirMesh offers greater air passage in breezy or more demanding conditions, helping improve resilience and reduce the risk of wind damage.

AirMesh can be folded for transport rather than handled as a long roll, which is useful when taking graphics to a site or event. Its reinforced sewn hems and plastic eyelets support the finished graphic, while its airflow and lightweight fabric help with handling. Choose the finish around the application you need, and use the material details above to compare AirMesh with the separate PVC alternative also described on this page.
