Technical Specification for Foil Swing Tags

For one-sided printing, supply two PDF pages: the CMYK artwork first, followed by the foil artwork.

For double-sided printing with foil, supply a four-page PDF in the order below.

1. is the front of the artwork
2. is the back of the artwork
3. is the Foil artwork for the front
4. is blank

Show the foil positions as solid black shapes exactly where the finish is needed. Use 100% black only, with no cyan, magenta or yellow. Vector foil artwork is recommended for the best result.

Foil registration has a tolerance of approximately ±0.5mm, so exact alignment cannot be guaranteed. Avoid very small text or fine lines: use at least 10pt lettering and 1pt line weights.

The drilled hole measures 6mm.

• Include 3mm bleed on all sides
• Supply as a CMYK PDF
• Outline or embed fonts
• 300dpi resolution
• The minimum font size is 10pt and line weights should be at least 1pt.
• Please download the templates to ensure that no text or images are cut during the drilling process for the hole.

Match the foil colour and lamination to the impression you want the tag to create. If a handwritten note is part of the presentation, single-sided lamination leaves that option available. Choose rope or ribbon separately to coordinate the finished tag with your packaging.
